Let's all remember that there's truly no place like OM for the holidays. After the leftovers are put away and you've put some pennies in a poor box and boxed up some cool stuff for someone less fortunate, why not take a conscious minute to give yourself a break and a boost? After all, charity does begin at home, right? Let's blow some hot air into that intention by using the power of your breath. Lie down and keep one hand over your heart and one over your abdomen. The hand that is over the belly should have the thumb over the belly button and the other four fingers resting slightly below it. The fingers of both hands should be spread open but should also be loose and flexible. Breathe in through the nose, taking in a big breath of air and pulling it down into your belly so that your abdominal area puffs up like a balloon. As you slowly exhale back out through the nose, visualize your breath as a silver ball of light circling your body that's first traveling down from your belly, then around your feet, back up your spine, over the top of your head and then out through your nose again. If you want to go for yogic breath gold, then practice this breath three times in succession. Once you've completed round three you've also successfully oxygenated your entire bloodstream while massaging and bringing a big boost of life force energy, prana or Chi to all of your organs as well. Do this exercise when you need a little boost and you can count on being OM for Christmas!By Ellen Whitehurst for Astrology.com
