Explaining art to aliens
From March 6 to May 18, the Barbican's art gallery will be holding what is considered a world's first - an art exhibition aimed at extraterrestrials.

Above, just two of the artworks on display at The Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art which is hoped to bring about a better understanding and new interpretations of contemporary art in a similar way to how "western anthropologists first interpreted non-western cultures". As an addition to the exhibition, the Barbican will also be hosting Films from Another Planet.
