I remember running from school to see a movie at the RKO Pelham or the Globe theatre in my neighborhood or on Sundays if we didn't go to my mother's parents for dinner with all the aunts, uncles and cousins we would go to the Paradise Theatre, with its moving sky roof and then for a Chinese dinner.
I still think if I don't go to a Friday afternoon movie the world will come to an end though I know it won't--but why take a chance?
By the way, 'seeing' a movie on television, no matter how big the screen, is not the same as seeing it for the first time on the 70-80 foot movie screen with an audience.
How often do you GO to the movies?
PS I have been using moviepass having gotten a special deal for $89.95 for a year of movies without paying anymore. As of today I have seen 60 movies!!
The best movie I saw in July was the fun action film "Mission:Impossible--Fall Out" with Tom Cruise who at 56 acts like a 30 year old and looks like a 40 year old while the funniest was "Uncle Drew" which is all cliches but will have you laughing and the most intriguing was "3 Accidental Strangers" about male triplets separated at birth and who meet 19 years later by accident not knowing about each other. It also is very shocking!
