Here's a brief interview with Ron Paul in 1988 when he ran for
president on the Libertarian ticket. Whatever you think of his
opinions, the man is consistent (save for his change of heart regarding
the death penalty -- a good change, methinks). Pay particular attention
to his take on the Soviet Union. He was proven right on that one.
