2008 World Baseball Series

After a few weeks of play, it looks to be an interesting season for Cleveland, chicago and Detroit. The Red Sox should have no ;problems withtheir di vision as the other teams just do not have the pitching. The West Coast teams should compete in the Japanese League. No comparison to the rest of the American League. So lets say the Red Sox and the Indians, pitching is the key for the Tribe, play for the League Championship. If CC is healthy, the Tribe may be the surprise team here. However, as much as I would like to see the Indians in, the Red Sox still have too lmuch talent and will repeat as the AL Champ. Forget about the Tigers as they will self destruct with Sheffield leading the way and the ChiSox have a nut for a manager and will not win. Look to the National League to feature the Mets as the winner as the Braves pitching is suspect and old. The Diamondbacks or thePadres look pretty good, but not good enough. The Brewers are a long shot and the Rockies shot their load last year. So the Mets and the Sox meet in the World Series and, unfortunatley for the Sox, the Mets have a little lmore ;pitching and should win in in 6 games.

One of my sons lives in Scottsdale and is a big fan of the D=BAcks. Unfortunately, here in Ocklawaha Fla we do not get too much coverage of sports. We here are Gatorized to the max. I like the Mets but so much can happen injury wise to affectg the outcome. The Indians are right now a pussle to me as I thought that they would come out swinging and get the Tigers in a hole. Again, too soon to tell but I do not like Sheffield since the day he came in with the Brewers he has been a malcontent. Screw him and send his ass back to the Marlins, who would love to have him, but fcan not afford him. Pittssburgh would be the place for the baseball god s to send him and let thie sob mouth off there.

You've made a reasonable assessment, I think. This looks like a year for a lot of veteran player meltdowns, such as the Big Hurt, Andruw Jones, et al. As long as the Yankees get beat, I'm happy...

My bets are on Boston vs. Arizona in the Big One. The Red Sox are dominant. If they don't have many injuries or meltdowns, they will be back. Detroit couldn't 'buy' a World Series without natural chemistry. Their team hasn't jelled yet. Toronto will be the thorn in Boston's heel this year. And watch out for the lowly Royals!

I looked at this twice, and I still don't understand it... guess I should pay greater attention to baseball!
