I haven't written too much about this sport as I do not want to sound like an old fool remembering how the sport was once so popular and how it now is not.
So, my generation has seen its day. The Earnhardt, Elliot, Waltrip, Allisons, Martin, and even, Gordon, who is still relatively young, however, not, it would seem, for this sport.
Lets bring on the new generation of drivers and let them go at it. The Kezelowski, Bush the younger, Truex, and maybe Kasey may bring it back. I sure do hope so as for the life of me, I just can't get interested in watching the "boys" go round and round til the last 25 or so laps.
New blood is needed and also at the top/ as this Brian man seems too aloof. Perhaps run the races in 2 50 lap shoot outs with 20 cars, and then have the top 20 run another 50 laps for the win.
Something has to occur if the sport is to keep its sponsors as, we are in a, er depres, excuse me, recession. Hopefully some major changes will be made as I sure do miss the old race car drivers and the good old boy syndrome that went with them. Jr Johnson and King Richard must be puking with the way the sport is heading. Oh well, I am starting again to sound like an old fart who misses the good old days. You know what? I am an old fart and I do miss the good old days.
