I took off for Vegas Tuesday and returned to my home state on Friday.  My mom had a conference and was staying at Red Rock! We arrived in the lobby and I knew that it was going to be good.  The place had marble, crystal drapes and nice swanky decor.  We got into our room, which had two double beds, and we were quite delighted when we opened up the bathroom door.  In the bathroom was a 5 foot deep soaking tub, with a flat panel monitor television mounted above it. 
We were starving so we headed to the Grand Cafe restaraunt in the hotel, and had a nice meal.  At the end of the meal, we picked up an eclair for desert.  My mother always thinks there is going to be a shortage of food and wanted to know if we should order two.  I was like NO! So then we went upstairs so my Mom could nap.  She didn't really nap but it was time to hit the strip.  We took the shuttle bus to the Ventian and picked up our tickets for Wayne Brady.  After we got the tickets we headed to the mall because we were freezing.  The lady at the box office mentioned its quite cold and we searched for a jacket.  Sadly, nothing was under $150 bucks so we went home empty handed.  We both dug the Grand Cafe, so we popped in there to pick up food to go and brought it back to our room. Wednesday morning we woke up at about 7 am Vegas time, headed down to... the Grand Cafe for breakfast.  I had two mimosas with breakfast and was very excited to sit by the pool and drink tasty beverages.  The main pool at the hotel was closed and apparently the one that was open was a topless pool.  No I did not go topless, and no  no one else was.  I was enjoying the sun, the drinks, my ipod, texts from friends and just relaxing in general.  The Irish Guy who I met at this conference last year showed up around 2 and that got my party turned up a notch.  We had several cocktails by the pool and then he headed to his room.  He sent me a text asking if I wanted to have a drink in his room... I said I would but under once condition that he was not a skeeze ball.  Meanwhile, I had met a random character at the pool who was carrying a box of ties around with him. He was a nice guy and asked me if I had a boyfriend or a daddy.  I told him I had a daddy, and proceeded to pick out a tie for him.  Went up to the Irish Guy's room for a drink, and then headed out for Wayne Brady.   We had dinner at the Ventian and then headed over to the show!  Wayne's show is pretty cool and is like who's line is it anyway? It was improv and he even used my mother for a prop/improv sketch.  She got on the stage and was a big hit.  We went home and I crashed because I was kind of drunk and tired.  We took the city bus back to our hotel which was MUCH cheaper than a taxi. 

Thursday morning we woke up and headed down to the breakfast.  I came to the breakfast at the conference because it was free food, and they weren't speaking.  Afterwards I headed to the pool and then it was time for lunch, which I didn't want.  We ate lunch and then I decided to test out that nice big tub and dry my hair and get ready for the Cirque de Soiel show Love.  We ate a bit before we went out for the night.  My mom and I went to the show and Loved LOVE! IT was super cool.  Then we gambled for a bit on the penny slots and lost about $20 bucks. 
Friday was 12 hours of travelling back to the East Coast.  I landed at 7 pm EC Time and was not able to sleep till 2 am! I even got a phone call from our famous Sadie! :)
