We had the privilege of being able to go on vacation for 7 glorious nights. Our destination was Punta Cana and we stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana resort.

Our trip began with our flight out of DC to Charlotte. We arrived in Charlotte on time and jetted off to the Dominican Republic. We landed and got into a wonderful 1983 Toyota Corolla Taxi that was arranged by the hotel. Every time we went over bumps, the bottom of the car scraped. This was a bit intimidating, but we were pleased when we pulled up to the resort and we were greeted with champagne and cool towels.

We checked in with minor snafus. After we got settled we ordered room service and began to enjoy the all-inclusive benefits. After we ate, and showered, we walked around the resort and saw the Michael Jackson tribute show. The beggining of the show was interesting because they don't speak incredibly great English there in the Domincan. They were warming up the crowd in what I suppose was English and the only thing I understood was "Clap, Clap, Clap!" This was amusing to Fungi and myself and we frequently used this on our trip.

The majority of our days were filled with a lot of sun, drinks and food. It was the recipe that the doctor had ordered. I also enjoyed my first and second massage while out there. We got two couples massages at a local vendor's place. It was amazing and I am totally hooked! I don't know why I didn't do this before!!!

Now that we've recovered from our vacation, it's back to reality. We've been catching up with my family, and some of our friends. It's been good being back but man, I wish I was living in the Domincan. Life is better there...
