The weekend was pretty delightful as far as weekends could go. I went out with my cousin's ex fiancee A on Friday night. She was arriving to the G'town waterfront via boat. So I met her at the wall of the waterfront and hopped aboard a giant cruiser boat. We had a few beverages aboard and then the temperature dropped like a stone so we moved our party indoors. We had a lot of drinks and good conversation, it was great to see A again and meet some various famous DC peeps. I got home at midnight and I probably shouldn't have driven my car from the metro... But I did. When I got home the entire building was really REALLY dark. So I kept flipping on lights when I figured out that the lights were out. DUH! So I called my friend A who lives in Chicago and stays up late and M who is in Colorado. I need some unwinding time before I can sleep. As I was talking to A, the lights came on, startled Spike-a-roni. He was convinced that someone was in the house. He's a good protector, I must say. I would be frightened if I heard that bark and I was trying to intrude on someone's house.
Saturday was a delightful slack day. I tried to organize some movie watching and drinking but it didn't work out. So I ordered some yummy food and stayed in and had a delightful evening.
Sunday I went out to breakfast with my aunt, cousin, cousin's fiancee, cousin's ex fiancee and her baby. It was a lot of fun meeting her baby and spending time with her. I went to the grocery store and came home. I got to talk via webcam to my whole family in NY so that was super cool!
All in all a good weekend. I am back to reality and I must say I am not a huge fan.
