Going For A Triple Trifecta, Liz to Take Hubby Number Nine...

Look A those Rocks.  I read once that Liz never borrowed jewelry when she appeared at the Academy Awards.  She just wore her own.

According to an article in today's New York Post, the eternally optimistic Elizabeth Taylor will soon wed her longtime companion, Jason Winters, a showbiz agent who is 29 years her junior.  Liz is 78; Mr. Winters is 49. 
The Times got its information straight from USmagazine.com, which reported yesterday that the violet-eyed, raven-haired beautiful one had become secretly engaged to Winters. USmagazine reportedly got their tip from "a confidential, unnamed source.  Now, if that isn't straight from the horse's  mouth, I don't know what is! Could there be a "Deep Throat" lurking withing the confines of Liz's latest lovenest?
Liz has been single fourteen years, her longest stretch without a husband.  She last tripped the light fantastic with Larry Fortensky whom she met while in rehab at Betty Ford.
One thing about Liz--she doesn't discriminate.  She has been married to a hotel heir (Nicky Hilton), a gay actor(Michael Wilding), an entrepreneur ( Mike Todd), a wimp (Eddie Fisher), a rogue (Richard Burton--she married him twice),  a politician (Sen. John Warren) and the carpenter Fortensky. 
I have to throw in a few of the comments left on the Times website.  A couple are hilarious.  This one actually made me laugh aloud and inspired the title for this post.

Hey, Joan Collins (The Poor Man's Liz Taylor) is the same age as Liz, and she's married to a guy Percy Gibson) half her age. It's called necrophilia, darling!

I can remember when half the male population of the world would race into her bed. But what the Hell ( besides money that is ) is she offering now ? A dried up old Prune. I know, I'm the same age , and we all know men age better than women. Man, MacArthur was right when he said : Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away ". But when it comes to Movie Stars we might re-phrase . " Old Movies stars never fade, they just die away " Man they go on and on to prove that only the good die young. ( before you point out the folly of the last remark, i'm aware that there are exceptions to prove every rule )

Hey! What business is it of anybody's what she does? If they want to get married let them. If you're so against it don't go to the wedding or send a gift! Oh, wait, you weren't invited? There you go! That makes it all pretty simple.
