The Path of Love is Never Easy

Well,  the path of love is never an easy one it seems. Daughter #1 is finding that out.  Her boyfriend still lives in Clinton where he does all the digital retouching for Blunck's Studio.
Almost everyone who lives in Oklahoma or North Texas has heard of Blunck's.  Founded in Clinton some 60 or 70 years ago, hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren, seniors, prom dates, weddings, and family portraits have been taken by their photographers.
They now have studios in Clinton, Oklahoma City, and Plano, Texas; but all their finish and retouch work is still done in Clinton.
M has a degree in graphic design.  Last fall, he decided to quit his Blunck's job to go back to school at OU to pursue a master's degree in illustration because he also has begun writing and illustrating children's books. He is not published yet; but I have seen some of his work and he is quite gifted.
So, he leased his house to his little sister and rented a condo in Norman. Then, Bluncks sweetened the pot so much that he just couldn't afford to leave.  However, he had already taken a year's lease on the condo.
At first, he tried driving back and forth; however, that soon became too much, so he moved back into his house with his sister and her two children, only staying weekends in his condo.
From what I understand, that arrangement is about to drive him crazy. He wants to sell the house to her, but she is a teacher and not in a position right now to buy it.
So, he has decided that he will see if Bluncks will allow him to work four days a week.  He had planned to move out of his condo this month, but he wants to be closer to DD#1, so he will keep it if Blunck's will agree. He will stay Monday through Thursday in Clinton and Thursday night through Sunday night in his condo in Norman.
He also wants to finish the illustrations for two more children's books he has completed, so that he can get them submitted.  My daughter is now also involved with his book effort, acting as his "agent" with submissions.
Until he and DD#1 began seeing one another, he really didn't know how to go about contacting and submitting to publishers. As soon as he showed her his work, she jumped in, took the initiative, bought a users guide to publishers for children's books, selected the ones she thought would be interested and fired off about thirty submissions for him.
I don't know how long it will take him to get his first book published, but I do believe he will.At any rate, that's where she is with her romance.
