My Name is Ted Kennedy, Jr.

The most significant moment for me at Ted Kennedy's funeral mass this morning was his son, Ted Kennedy, Jr., recalling his father telling him when he was 12 that the most profound losses are survivable. Ted, Jr. had lost a leg to bone cancer and felt that his life was, as he said, "pretty much over."

In this eulogy, he remembers his father's loves, his sense of adventure, his admiration of the arts, his faith and fondly calls him "his best friend."

The eulogy is filled with laughter, poignancy and sadness as a son says good-bye to a father.
