Can One Heal Himself with Mind Control?

I am currently reading a very interesting book....I have read this author's four previous novels; but this is my personal favorite.

  The Science Behind the Book

Dan Brown, author of the best-selling book The Da Vinci Code, has written a new book that features the noetic sciences prominently: The Lost Symbol.
Dr.Katherine Solomon, the female protagonist, is described as a “noetic scientist” and appears to be based on a composite of many of the leading figures in the real-life noetic sciences.
The book is an artful weaving together of fact and fiction, and the real-life Institute of of Noetic Sciences is mentioned several times in the book, as are many of the actual experiments conducted by researchers and their colleagues.

The word "noetic" comes from the Greek word nous, for which there is no exact equivalent in English.

It refers to "inner knowing" or a kind of intuitive consciousness—direct and immediate access to knowledge beyond what is available to our normal senses and power of reason.

As defined by psychologist-philosopher William James in 1902, noetic refers to “states of insight into depths of truth unplumbed by the discursive intellect.
They are illuminations, revelations, full of significance and importance, all inarticulate though they remain and as a rule they carry with them a curious sense of authority…”
Noetic sciences use scientific methods to explore the "inner cosmos" of the mind (consciousness, soul, spirit) and how it relates to the "outer cosmos" of the physical world.
In other words, they study how people come to know things or affect things through experiences or capacities synchronicities, psi, “after-death” communication, energy healing, etc.) that have no apparent rational explanation, and what this says about the nature of human consciousness.
I was first introduced to the concept of noetic reasoning and thinking when I attended a seminar shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
What doctors learned in the 20th Century was that patients with a strong connection between their spirit,  their soul and the counsciousness lived longer, healed faster and dealt with illness and death better.
I used noetics to aid in my own recovery from cancer.  Since then I have relied upon it to help me remember specific details in my past as well as to  use my mind to try to pull people toward me.
Probably most can easily understand how one could direct his mind to perform specific functions that could aid in recovery from a serious illness or how one could demand of his mind that it reach back forty some years to a certain event that would allow him to remember exactly what was said at that moment in time.
That is sometimes called mind over matter.  Some people, obviously, are better at it than others. It works well for me because I believe strongly in the spirit and the soul as they relate to my conscious being.
But what of using my mind to try to pull people toward me?  A thought...any tiny idea that forms in one's mind actually has mass.  A thought is an actual thing, a measurable entity, with a measurable mass.  A minuscule mass. of course, but still mass.
Now what that means is that any mass has gravity and can pull things toward it.  The stronger my thought patterns, the stronger the gravitational pull toward me.
Fascinating, isn't it?   This will be the next great frontier--coming to understand and utilize the power within us. .
