This version is not the one with which most people probably identify. The Kingston Trio made this a huge hit, but it was first sung in the Broadway smash, "Paint Your Wagon."
That later became a motion picture starring Lee Marvin and the song was a part of the movie as well. I chose this version because the graphics look so much like my childhood home. In a convoluted, jumbled, way that encompasses every moment in my life, I relate to this song.
