Facebook Fun, Family Fun, Sooner Fun

A couple of months ago, on a whim, I visited Facebook for the first time.   As I began scrolling through some of the members, I came across several people I knew.
Some were people from my highschool days; others were people with whom I went to college.  But I didn't contact anyone.  I just put my profile up.
Since then, I have had three different people leave messages to me on my "wall", as Facebook calls it.  It has been a lot of fun getting reacquainted with some people I have not seen in nearly fifty years.
It is a blogging site, but it seems to me that most people use it more for short comments back and forth with family and friends.  At least, that is what people in my age bracket are doing.
I heartily recommend this site if you are looking to reconnect with old friends.
News from the family in Illinois, plus a short video of Big Sissy playing basketball.  Little Buddy got a "big bed" this week.  She has slept in a twin bed since giving up her baby bed.  However, she wanted a bed like Big Sissy's, so Holly and Bevan moved the bed from the guest room into her room.

They are getting a new king size bed for their bedroom when Holly gets her bonus money in a week or two. ( Yes, her company gives bonuses to its executives based on a percentage of their profits from the previous year.   They always get it in March after all the bills are paid and the books closed for the previous year.  NO PROFIT--NO BONUS!!! Now, there's a concept).  Anyway, they are putting their bed in the guest room.
Mom and Dad get a new bed and the kiddos get a trip to Disney World with some of the bonus money.  Hopefully, the rest of it will go into savings.
I am looking forward to the upcoming Big 12 tournaments and March Madness.  Our women's and men's basketball teams are both ranked 2nd in the nation.  The men are 25-1; the women are 24-2.  Here's an interesting stat.  Both the UConn teams are ranked "One" in the nation while both the OU teams are ranked "two".  That's a strange twist that won't happen very often.  Wouldn't it be interesting if UConn and OU men and women both ended playing for the national championship.  Doubt if it happens, but it might.

=Intriguing, isn't it?
