Co-ops Are a Cop-out!

President Obama needs our help!  Right Now!  Thanks to lies and misinformation by the far right, he is under pressure by the Senate to back away from the government-run health plan and accept co-ops in their place.
Co-ops are the insurance industry's answer to Obama's plan; they are nothing more than another example of a cop-out to save the insurance industry's ridiculous pilfering of the American people.  They are simply non-profit insurance plans in which the members of the plan get to vote on the CEO.  The "Blues" are an example of a co-op in some states.
Co-ops DO NOT provide coverage to the uninsured unless they can afford the premium, which is usually in the mid-price range.  They still have deductibles and co-pays and often dollar limits as well.
The House of Representatives is committed to a government-run plan, but the Senate is waffling.  I urge you to send a letter, e-mail, or call your Senator TODAY to voice your distate for co-ops.  I have provided the links below.
In addition, we need to contact the President, reminding him that he ran on a strong platform of reforming health care, that we voted for him assuming he would, and that we will stand behind him as he fights for what we KNOW to be in America's best interest for ALL Americans.
Every American in favor of health care reform needs to get vocal TODAY!
Here are the links to contact your Senator and the President.

The first is address and phone.  The second link is to their e-mails,and the third is to the President. Just click on the link you want to go to the site.
