"If you can get them here tomorrow, I'd order four," he said.
"We can do that," I told him. We'll just overnight them to you."
"Well, if you're ABSOLUTELY certain that you can have them here tomorrow," he replied, "I'll take the four. I'll be at the clinic tomorrow and I can pick them up. But I am off Friday, so I won't be there."
"You'll have them tomorrow, Sir. We ship overnight all the time."
"Give me four boxes then and a box of controls. I'm having an event Saturday, and I'll use a bunch of them at it."
Now, I'm trying my best to visualize what kind of "event" one has where he administers HIV tests to the guests. Do they serve hors d oeuvres first, have wine and cheese, entertainment maybe? Then, everybody lines up for his HIV test? I'm not exactly sure this is my kind of party; but, then, you never know!
Well, on to something on an entirely different subject! The city of Seattle and the Oklahoma group who owns the Sonics and their female WNBA team have finally come to an agreement, and the Sonic NBA team will play in Oklahoma City next year. The city of Seattle was contending that the team had to remain in Seattle two more years to fulfill the lease agreement on the outdated arena there. The owners could eventually pay the city of Seattle up to 65 million to get the team to Oklahoma now rather than later.
However, the team name and colors will remain with Seattle, so I am anxious to see what the new name of the team is going to be. We already know it will be the Oklahoma City Somethings; it will NOT be the Oklahoma Somethings, as some wanted.
But Oklahoma City put up the money to enlarge the new Ford Arena from its current seating capacity of 13,000 to 20,000 as part of the deal to get the NBA to back the move. So the city fathers believe it is their team and not Oklahoma's team. Makes sense to me!

Now, I'm back to thinking about what kind of an event could have been going on, too? I got a kick out of your hypothetical guessing!
