I was looking for data regarding my military unit in Korea circa 1957. Not much available because it has been "decommissioned," absorbed into units with different nomenclature.

I guess I was looking back on the good experiences and trying to recapture some of the good times and the great people with whom I served.

I guess it is like going home. The home you once knew is not "home" anymore. It has changed and does not represent even a serious modicum of what you remember.

I found a site which is supposed to represent that unit, but not what I expected and probably not worth the investment of my time. From my point of view, it has become a type of "Swift Boat" experience. Nothing is said about people or the experiences. Rather it was a nest of conservative attitudes with no openness for alternate opinions.

Oh well! Should have known.
