Currently it is 45 degrees at a quarter to seven in the morning. Guru's predict a high temperature of 72 degrees today. Pretty nice for the end of February, but we are supposed to get some big time rain on Saturday.

The dermatologist sliced off the lump from my wrist yesterday and will send it to the lab for a cancer check. He says it does not look like cancer to him, but there is still a possibility.

No stitches taken and it should heal in about a week. Won't hear more until about the middle of March.

No pain, so guess all is well at this point.

I was able to upload a couple of pictures to my gallery, demonstrating my recent trip to the Eastern Caribbean. Sure is a beautiful area, but still encumbered with third world country economics. I noted that many live in conditions truly unacceptable, encumbered by social ills and victims of power brokers.

Shouldn't really bother me at all. We have demonstrations of the same conditions in areas of Del Paso Heights and South Sacramento right here in "River City," and I don't think is is caused by the game of Pool.

I am quite busy with my income tax return and also have three meetings coming up in the next couple of weeks. I have reports to present to the folks at both CRTA and SIR. One is a treasurer's report and the other is the minutes for the February 14, 2008, SIR executive board meeting.

As they say, "No rest for the wicked!"
