Naw, that isn't true. Teddy and Winston are with me. JoAnne has been gone since Tuesday and won't be back until Thursday of this coming week.

We are in Reno and the computer tells me that it is 96 degrees here. Actually, it is only 89 up here at 5k feet even though it seems quite warm.

I was amused but not shocked at Obama's selection of a running mate. Guess he has realized that there are Hispanic voters, even some who are legal.

From my POV, it is a very weird issue. Both political parties have been just a bit silent on the issue. Albeit, the Republicans here in Reno actually shut down a couple of McDonald franchises for hiring illegals.

JoAnne will be going in to have her gall bladder removed on Friday. surgeon tells us that it normally only takes a couple of hours and she should be home by evening.

Of course that assumes that everything goes according to Hoyle.

Hope she heals fast. The Baby is due on the 21st, and she needs to be there to help. (?) Such is the part of a mother's chores.
