The republican party over the last few decades has had a number of great and/or good Presidents. R. Reagan, who may become known later in history as this country's greatest POTUS, perhaps even exceeding Washington and Lincoln. Just gone GWB, who kept us - this country - safe from terrorists throughout his term of office. Bush I and Gerald Ford - just a couple of good-ole-boys who kept us on the straight and narrow. John F. Kennedy - yes, he was a democrat, but he supported and embraced almost all republican party programs and policies of the early 1960's, such as reducing taxes and tax rates to spur the economy and bring MORE MONEY into the US treasury,his fight for civil rights and equal rights, fighting against geographical pockets of poverty, and most importantly, his strong stance against communism - JFK was against everything that the Southern controlled democrat party of the 1960's held dear, holy, sacred, and sacrosanct. (that is what got him killed)Even FDR was more similar to today's republicans than today's democrats - he believed in Americas right to wage war to defend itself - wherever and whenever it took.
The democrats have had Clinton - a national embarrassment; Carter, a highly educated fool; and Nixon (yes, a democrat in all policies and programs) (wage and price controls)a brain dead overinflated ego who had no idea until it was too late, just what his staff of so-called count ons had done to him and our country.
