A fire extinguisher was needed to douse the flames of a Cornelius J. Zuckerman on Ash Wednesday at St.Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Due to Covid safety restrictions, Cardinal Dolenz , head honcho at this world famous cathedral ,instead of applying ashes to the forehead of its patrons, sprinkled the ashes in the hair which still symbolically satisfied this religious event. Mr.Zuckerman's hair burst into flames. He suffered 2nd,3rd, and nth degree burns after receiving these sprinkled ashes. A porter who saw poor Mr. Zuckerman screaming for help grabbed a jug of holy water to quell the uprising flareup . There was no comment available from St.Patricks Cathedral other than it was a blessing that Mr.Zuckerman did not have an afro.
