One Use for Halloween Candy

Here is a good use for those little chocolate bars in case you have some left after Halloween. It reminds me of making ravioli, and it would be fun to try various candy bar flavors.

Chocolate Pillow Cookies
Yields: 60
Cooking Time: 15 min
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
10 individual-size Nestle's chocolate candy bars

Preheat oven to 375F degrees. Sift flour and salt together. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Beat until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.

Stir in dry ingredients.

Using a cookie press with the saw-tooth plate, press dough into long strips onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Break up candy bars into 1-inch pieces. Place 1/4-inch apart on top of dough. Press another strip of dough over candy, covering completely.

Sprinkle with chocolate shots (optional).

Bake at 375F degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cut into pieces immediately.

Cool cookie sheets between batches by either running hot sheets under cold water or alternating with extra sheets.

Hard to imagine someone saying 'I'm so bored with these little candy bars I have to figure out another way to use them."
