Delicious Flank Steak & a Salad

1 large flank steak
1/2 cup oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions

Combine all the ingredients as a marinade for the flank steak. Put in a gallon Ziploc bag and marinate in the refrigerator at least 6 hours, turning over a couple of times. Broil on grill or in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes on one side, turn and broil 1 minute on the other side. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes, covered with a lid or some foil. Cut diagonally across the grain.

And here's a refreshing salad:

Mandarin Orange Salad
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

Dressing: 2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/4 cup salad oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

1/4 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1/4 head romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
2 green onions and tops, sliced
1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges

Cook the almonds in the 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar over low heat until the sugar melts. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Combine the the dressing ingredients and refrigerate. When ready to serve, toss the almonds and dressing with the lettuce and other ingredients.
