Things Are Crook in Tallarook

Over a hundred fires in NSW still burning one with a 100 kilometer front still out of control things are certainly bad this fire season.
Cool change that way today but heating up again by Thursday with temp back over 40 deg celcius. all in all we have had bushfires in Tasmania -- western australia --new south wales and also victoria.
Most have been caused by lightning but the odd one or two by firebugs , God help them if they are caught. Here in South australia we have been lucky so far. 2 outbreaks caused by firebugs but were quickly extinguished.
The weather is real queer this year, heatwaves in all states followed by cool change for a day or two then back to the heat. to give you an idea last week was hanging around the old century this week down in low 20s then Thursday back to 39 c again

Yes Kev, I think the weather is crazy all over due to global warming.
Fires are frightening.

looks to me as climate warming has started , our local paper has a mapped area for the rise in the ocean. We are safe here up in the foothills

Very alarming fires, Kevin! When does your fire season usually end? March? April?

Your situation made the news here last week, but that wast it. Even in this country the media doesn't follow through on original stories. At one point the Great Lakes were 30 feet below normal and the mid-west was flooded. Now I have no clue about the either, although the flooded area is probably the area that is now in drought. The Mississippi River is getting too low for barge traffic, but that's usually reported as economic rather than environmental. Well, as my instruction in HVAC said 40 years ago,"When all else fails, piss on it".
