So you have to wonder about some people. Seriously.
I rescued a cat about two years ago. Her name is Silly. She is a really sweet cat but when I rescued her she was pregnant and pretty far along so needless to say we had kittens and a cute lot of them they were.
Here is where the problem comes in. After a female cat has kittens you have a very narrow time frame of which you can get them spayed. You latterly have days. Supposedly they cannot get pregnant while they are still nursing , funny I was told that about people too seems to have been proved false many a time, not only that but you cannot get them spayed until their breasts are empty.
So here is where the problem comes in, my cats, while they are pets are first allowed to live with me as employees paid room and board. They are here to keep vermin away and it works quit nicely, so needless to say I do not believe in belling cats to keep them from doing what they do naturally.
So back to Silly, Silly decided to do another thing natural which was go out and get pregnant before she had weaned her kittens.
So what did I do? I got her spayed while she was pregnant which many would call abortion in spite of the fact it is a cat and it is perfectly okay to eat animal, use their hide for clothing and shoes as well as kill them for sport but NOT to abort them according to some way off the beaten path PETA and Christian folks, or a combination of both.
Then you have the spay-neuter people who will call you an irresponsible pet owner because nature happened. This happened to my friend. She could have made the decision to be a murdering abortionist but chose, because her cat went out and got dirty with the Toms, again while this cat was “with kitten†unlike me, she was unwilling to “abort†because she was willing to take on the burden for caring for unwanted kittens in hopes of getting her “spayed†next time.
I do not consider either choice a sign of being an irresponsible pet owner but choices pet owners are expected to make for the health of their pets.
I feel that sticking your nose into peoples business with their pets is as rude as giving unsolicited advice or judgment concerning children. I say just do this the next time you get unsolicited judgment , it works especially well in public on strangers. Look at hem horrified and yell, “Oh my gawd, call the police!â€
That usually shuts them up.
