What Are You Watching?

Here it is Sunday the second of March.
Finally,some bright sun and wind.
A lovely day today.Cool but nice

A little review of the movies that I saw this weekend.

In The Valley of Elah.
Tommy Lee Jones,Charlize Theron,Susan Sarandon.

Mike Deerfield returns to the U.S.after his tour of duty
in Iraq and abruptly goes missing.
His father Hank played by Jones,a spit and polish ex MP
from the Vietnam era, goes looking for him.
What he finds goes to the heart of American combat experiences in the Iraq conflict.
This movie was very moving.
A powerful look at a nation and young soldiers it sends in
battle. We have cover up,murder, mystrey and profound revelation about the personal cost of war.
I reccommend this movie.
All of the cast did a great job.

This movie is a horror flick and full of violence.
I did not finish watching the rest of it.
Spend less than a half hour into in and bang it is out of here.
If you like Vampire then this is your flick.
A waste of talent by Josh Hartnett.Who I thought was going
places and did not.
So,cannot review this one,but it is bad all around.

Javier Bardem,Natalie Portman,Stellan Skarsgard.
Javier who just won an academy award give a powerful
performance.
This is a drama of power, passion, and betrayal set during
the Spanish Inquisition.
Stellan Skaragard plays celebrated Spanish painter
Francisco Goya who's drawn into a web of deception when his
muse and inspiration Natalie Portman(The Other Boeleyn Girl)
is imprisoned for heresy against the church.
Javier Badum one of my favorites.
Bewitched by Ines'beauty, the monk commits the unthinkable
leaving Goya to make sense of a world gone mad.
"Betwitching"
Directed by Milo Foreman.
well, two out of three not bad.
This movie I highly recommend.A great epic.
Have a great afternoon and enjoy the warmth of the sun out there.

Today I watched a flutter of assorted sparrows, chickadees, wrens, and a couple of cardinals taking turns at the feeder outside my window. Later on, I watched "What Dreams May Come" followed by "Groundhog Day," to lift my spirits.
