Here are a couple of letters, that is going on in our
newspaper today.
Letter
Unnatural
Ron Figuly, Wolfeboro
The nuptials have begun and ended. Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson and Mark Andrew were joined in holy (?) matrimony in Concord. Can anyone wish the honeymooners great fulfillment - whatever that means - as they begin their unnatural married life?
There goes the credibility of the Episcopal Church in particular and a weak, irresponsible Church in general. This is a victory for Nietzsche and liberal theologians - even though they do not say that God is dead. This is a victory for materialism, situational ethics, tongue-tied frightened believers and paganism buttressed by history. It is a defeat for a one-man-one-woman traditional marriage.
The lesson of history is that fallen human beings do not learn from the lesson of history. God have mercy on us.

Letter
Return to God
Ed Largy, Bradford
The Bible is God's word and He speaks to us through it. The problem is, we have chucked the Bible into the trash bag of history, thinking it is irrelevant in the 21st century. Nothing could be further from the truth. God is wisdom and truth, and He is perfect along with all of His attributes. Man is a creature created by God's design to rule over the rest of his creation.
Herein lies the serious problem of man as a fallen creature from the protection and enhancement of God. Because of his willful departing from God, he has fallen into the black hole of self adulation and is spiraling down into the nether world toward Hell.
We are described in scripture by God as dumb dogs, blinded and without direction. So here we are celebrating another Independence Day, further away from peace, love and harmony than ever - but fooling ourselves into believing that everything will be all right.
We must turn to the basics of communicating with God by delving into His word. Then and only then comes independence.
ED LARGY
