This is very sad to hear.
Was one of our favorites place for breakfast and Lunch.
This has been a landmark for so many years.
Thank goodness that it was in the early morning and not on was there.Wow!for us in Concord this is very sad.

CONCORD, N.H. -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of an overnight fire that destroyed the Friendly's Restaurant on Loudon Road in Concord early Saturday morning.

Flames could be seen shooting into the night sky when crews responded to the blaze shortly after 1 a.m.

Crews reported heavy flames in the attic of the restaurant, which initially kept firefighters from entering the building.

Authorities said it took all of Concord's trucks and additional aid from four other towns to get the fire under control by about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported. Friendly's company officials said 65 people worked at the restaurant. The staff will be relocated to other area restaurants.
