This was one of the birthday dinner party.

Mike gave me a small dinner party Sat.night.
These are our favorites guest that we keep in contact.
My girls could not come.One moved to Texas and the other one in her new job working over the weekend.
We sure missed them.

Salmon


Mike is ready to put them in the oven.
Doesn't that look great?
Before dinner I do not feed my guest a lot of junk before dinner.By doing this.They would lose their apetite.
Normally put out a bowl of mixed nuts.
Which is much better for you.
Along with the salmon we had brown rice,asparagus.
Bob brought along some bread and dripping sauce.


This the type of bread that you pulled it apart.
Then dip it in the sauce.Very good.



I did not have any small bowls to put the sauce in.
Had to used a flat plate but it did not work out too well.
The sauce is balsamic vinegar and extra virgin oil.
With a dash of pepper very yummy.
Back in my family day we had this but we used celery for the dip.This I liked very much and better than the bread.
This has caught on among the younger crowd.

I would rather have the celery and did not have any in the house.

It was a lovely evening with Diana Krall keeping up entertained here.Along with Boccelli and Buble.
Chris Botti etc.
Now for dessert.



A woman friend at the club made me an awesome carrot cake.
Not the cheese cake frosting but the regular.
It was great and send some home with the guest.
Bob had ice cream with his.
Plenty of wine to drink.
Everything turned out great.
After they left,yes you know what?
Cleaned up the mess in the kitchen.
Then off to bed to finished watching the movie
Frozen River.
Then off to sleep.
