Buddy Honey Prissy


In December, we received an urgent call from a shelter in Arkansas. They had three young, friendly cockers who had all tested positive for heartworm disease. The shelter could not afford to treat these cockers. They had called other more local rescue organizations but did not receive any reply. Finally, the shelter manager heard about CSRNE and called asking if we could possibly help these three very adoptable dogs. Of course we said "yes."



We knew it would be expensive to transport and treat all three dogs but we also know that you, our friends, have always been there to help when we needed you the most.

Prissy, Honey, and Buddy are about two years old, quite small, and very adorable. Their foster mom says they are all housebroken and sweet. They've settled in nicely and are fascinated by snow - they just love to be outside rolling in it or eating it!

Prissy and Honey have each probably had a litter of pups at some point. They will be spayed after the heartworm treatment and Buddy will be neutered then. The cost for all three cockers for the initial in-hospital treatment, six week recheck and blood test, spays and neuter is $1,919.57.
