A Santa Monica judge granted Chaz permission to change his name and gender following his 2009 sex change surgery, which he began shortly after his 40th birthday.
Chaz, born to Sonny and Cher Bono in 1969, was named Chastity Sun Bono. He now wants to be known as Chaz Salvatore.
