Jury Duty

I have been summoned! I am to report for jury selection on this very morning. Most people I know do not want to participate in the workings of our legal system, but I do.

I will "suit up" but expect to be one of the first to be "cut".
Honestly....I was happy just to get the "invite". I will write about my experience later.

I wish we had more of your kind here!!! I am a terrible juror. The judge wouldn't believe me. Actually he let NO ONE off. The lawyers used up all of their dismissals (I can't think of the word). They had a lot of them, and used them ALL! The other jurors and I let a drug dealer go... he WAS homeless. I don't know if a drug dealer would be homeless.

You would have done a good job!

Can you volunteer for jury duty??... Instead of waiting a whole year?

Just a little tip...when they call you up to ask you questions, don't start out by saying " I am very glad to be called for jury duty your Honor, I promise you this is ONE guilty bastard that won't get off!

Believe it or not, they didn't use me...go figure.

Good luck! I've always wanted to be summoned for jury duty, just out of curiosity, but have never been. Meanwhile, my mom has been summoned about three or four times. Popular lady.
