The whale looks like he is smiling at the camera. A friend just flew to Russia on Singapore Airlines from Chicago to Houston to Moscow. She said it was the best airline she has ever flown on. She goes every year to see family.
I too am overdosing on the Olympics. I have been watching the swimming,the gymnastics, a little beach volleyball. I saw the women's 8 rowing when the US won. A little water polo. Some women's basketball-3 local women are playing-one plays pro for the Indiana Tigers now and two play for the Sky. I cry every time we get a gold medal and the flag goes up and the music plays. The women's gymnasts blow my mind. And Michael Phelps, of course. We are watching history being made.

I was there three times 15-20 years ago. We stayed at the Flamingo. I loved it. So garish and tacky. And the sidewalks were crowded in the middle of the night. I couldn't believe it. That was when the big building boom was going on. The Mirage was just being built. I missed the whole "family" cycle.
We got a little rain last night and a little rain a week ago. We are still 4 inches below normal and in drought. No corn.

I was looking forward to the swimming tonight with Michael Phelps and there was Brian on the NBC news saying that Phelps lost. Bummer. And boo for the spoiler.
I could have used a little less of the 80's section and more Paul. Other than that, I loved it. The economy has hit everything. There were fewer athletes marching this year. Every country had women participants this time, although the women athletes still had to walk behind the men from Saudi Arabia.
That must be one huge cooler to have several layers made with gallon sized milk containers.
