Found out last week that Robert's employer is changing insurance companies effective May 1, to a very good company -- in fact, the one we had when I was going through chemo and he was having open heart surgery. This means that the Evil Insurance Company won't be able to stress me out any more. I am very happy about this, and greatly relieved.
Other good news: I saw my doctors April 15 and my rheumatologist actually used the word "remission." This is great! I feel good, still need quite a bit of rest, but my emotional state is excellent.
Yesterday was the second anniversary of my mother's death. My sister and I talked, and we agreed that we are both alright now with Mom being gone. Today is my wonderful nephew's birthday, and the second anniversary of the day I started chemo. THAT was a very bad, no good, terrible day, coming right after Mom died, I was crying. Everything is so much better now!
Have I written about my nephew before? He is a truly good and delightful young man. In June he is starting his Master's degree at Syracuse University, which was my father's alma mater. He is studying communications, and wants to be a college teacher and researcher. I love him dearly. We talked briefly on the phone today.
All is proceeding well with our plans for relocation. The sellers are kindly leaving us their electric lawnmower, and we are buying their Paddy O'Furniture. I asked who they use for housecleaning, as the place is IMMACULATE, and was amazed to hear that they do everything themselves. She is disabled, and he just retired this month, and that's an 1850 square foot house. I am totally impressed.
Robert's work is going very well. He likes his job and his colleagues, and the company is growing. They're in th midst of acquiring more office space and having it built out for their needs. Growth is good.
My dear friend Sue helped me by planting all my hanging baskets with the annuals I had bought weeks ago. I will miss her when we move. But she's planning on visiting me in Arizona in August.
Life is good. I'm grateful for G-d's blessings and my friends, and I'm grateful for an end to our insurance hassles. I'm grateful for a good husband who truly loves and appreciates me, and for our animal companions.
