In a Relationship

With help of Eddie I finally got my status updated. It is not that I always was a computer klutz, but when I was doing it most I typed in commands, either on a main frame terminal or my wonderful Radio Shack Model III (with cassette tape storage) - quite different from finding the correct place on the screen to click. Anyway, I did not want my status to say "not interested" because my present and final wife would not appreciate that - besides it would not be true. "In a relationship" would be true but not as specific. So, I told Eddie I would do an article about my wife and he did not say no so here it is.

I found her in 1976 at a Christian singles group a week after I "met the Lord" (I hesitate to say this repeated phrase, but it is accurate in my case - a kind of epiphany thing.) Sometime I might tell more about why she is number 3 and number 1 and 2 were the same, but this is about Dina.

Kasdina Kasdan Pruwarohardjono, born in Central Java Indonesia with a minor royal title of Raden Lara (which I still don't understand), 2 years older than me but looks 15 years younger, speaks fluent English, Indonesian, and Javanese, and still remembers some Dutch from grade school under the Dutch and Japanese from grade school under the the Japanese. She has many stories about being a kid in the war zone in WW2. Almost forgot to say, she was raised Muslim, but became Christian in the US and had been for 10 years when I met her. Well 31 years later we are still together, due in no small part to my realizing that Javanese princesses require being treated with respect (not a bad approach in general) and by remembering that you do not push the calm, quiet Javanese too far - "Amok" as in "running amok" is a Javanese word. So here is my Valentine - and, she being quite modest, I may be in trouble for doing this.
