Hillary, Snipers, Snipping, and Rapid-speak
Listening to Hillary trying to explain whether she was shot at or being greeted by local children, easy to forget when you have so much experience, and then listening to the snipping in return and the resulting cover statement, made me think of another sniping incident and also brought out the old engineer in me (the boring guy usually better hidden). Anyway, my wife, as I might have said, actually was sniped at by the British at end of WWII, who were trying to clean out the Japanese. The British may have been confused, but my wife certainly has never confused that experience with anything else, and I suspect Hillary would not either had she really been shot at. But the part that raised my engineer antenna was Hillary's cover that she speaks "millions of words each day" so she might have "misspoke". Misspoke indeed! If we assume that she meant an even one million words per day, and if I did not blow the math (which can happen) it would require her to speak about 12 words per second continually for 24 hours! Even if these were one syllable, it would require incredibly accurate rapid-speak to not misspeak. My wife says "well every one knows what she means" - but I still claim that using exaggeration to excuse exaggeration is, at the least, not a confidence builder.
