A pet chihuahua, similar in appearance to the dog pictured here, has saved its dwarf owner from dying on a mountain range in Wales.
Chihuahua Pebbles kept her 1.12m-tall owner Beverley Burkitt warm overnight after she became stranded in woodland in Snowdonia, Wales.
Asthma sufferer Beverley, who has dwarfism, staved off hypothermia by snuggling up to her miniature hound, reports The Sun.
Mother-of-one Beverley was staying at a pony trekking centre at Dolwyddelan, North Wales with her 15-year-old daughter when she went missing. She had left the centre for a walk and, after becoming disorientated, also lost her mobile phone.
After the alarm was raised, a helicopter with heat-seeking cameras was launched and search parties on the ground scoured the area, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Medics finally found Beverley the following day and escorted her to safety. According to The Sun, the search party found her still snuggled up with her tiny long-haired black and white pet.
