I have to say, this is a very well-done video. I appreciate the effort that went into the making of this film. I even agree with some of what is said, but not all of what is said. America has always been a melting pot and we need to recognize the diversity of our culture. My German immigrant grandparents had to learn English in order to get their citizenship papers. But still, not to accomodate those who can't speak our language is not right. I've seen the programs of English as a second language work very well in our schools. If taught correctly, the children do learn English. Some vote to do away with these programs, saying these children need to be taught in English only. Those people don't know what they are talking about. Where is their common sense?
When our forefathers first stepped on American soil, did they automatically start speaking English? I think not.

I always use that same phrase...."hit by a Mack truck." Hope you feel better soon.
What is up with you Sum? You have been sick off and on for some time now. I just wish you would kick that bug in the butt and get well. You know, I just heard that the whole chicken soup thing is a myth. My Auntie is surely turning over in her grave with that news. She lived by the chicken soup cure. Maybe some hugs will help you. I'm sending a few. ((((Hugs))))
I sure doesn't take much to entertain this kid. Very funny.
I heard about a cat that lived in New York City and disappeared every winter. It turned out that the cat also spent a lot of time at a neighbor's house and they thought it was their cat. They took it to Florida every winter. Now that cat really had a great life.
Wow.... you really did have a movie marathon. It really is difficult to find good movies. Seems like Hollywood is turning out more bad movies then good ones. Thanks for the reviews.
I think this would be another great book for teens. Your town is sure lucky to have you as a librarian.
Sounds exciting!!!!
This does sound like a great story, especially for a teen.
Hey... this is cool. I will have to try it.
People who point fingers at other people are often trying to take the spotlight off of themselves. Having worked as a teacher, I ran across teachers and even a principal who spent the majority of their time picking their fellow workers to pieces. The truth was that they themselves weren't doing their own jobs as well as they should.
I also fight anxiety and depression and I really battled it during the last 5 years of my teaching. I finally quit because of the stress. I'm happier now.
I do hope things get better for you. Annie :o)
Oh dear... I've got a lot of The Christmas. With so much laying around as a result of back surgery, this year I've really got wooby. Hey, I like your terminology, too.
