Residents of a west-end home got a surprise visit Sunday night after a police cruiser crashed into their living room.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. Sunday in the Jane Street and Dundas Street West area.
Two officers were inside the vehicle when the driver lost control, drove up a snow bank, and smashed into the bungalow.
One of the two officers suffered minor injuries.
Residents were inside the home at the time of the crash but were not harmed.
The police officers were reportedly in pursuit of a robbery suspect when the crash occurred.
On Saturday, a police cruiser that had been left parked on railway tracks in the west-end was hit by a Via train.
Police said the cruiser couldn't be moved because its battery had died. No injuries were reported, but the cruiser sustained major damage.
Investigators are also looking into the circumstances of the crash.
>_>ivestigators should look into the load of work the police have to handle with people shooting one another, robbery and extortion going on day in and day out
the administration should be tough to deter people who chose to break the law
with light and kind punishment breaking the law is a lucrative business
when would everybody realise that?
>_>huh???????
