Most people assume that they clearly see everything that goes on directly in front of their faces.
This is simply not true.
It is easy to not only cloud people's thinking, but also cloud their very perceptions.
Magicians do it all the time. So do movie makers.
And so do propagandists.

I had to watch it 3 times to see the bear... and the third time it was easy to see him...
I still missed it when the film replayed it!
Our teacher did this to us once...had like 2 people come in *run in* and then leave...then we had to describe one of the people, it was wild. What we think we see and what we actually see.
