I just sent this to someone who is experiencing negativity on their discussion boards.  They feel the need to shut some particular boards down due to the negativity.  I don't participate in the boards there but I do on rare occasions, post on this individual's blog.  This person's network is by paid subscription only.After I read what I sent, I felt the need to "spread the word".  LOLLauraPS. I corrected some typos before posting.  If I would have been reading instead of "thinking" and drifting through those thoughts, I would have caught those typos before sending.doh!

Tolerance is learned and taught through tolerance.  Maybe this is a sign for you and there is some wonderful lesson in it?  Would it not be more beneficial for all to learn how to overcome this negative emotional barrier that seems to shred healthy discussions rather than just avoid it altogether?  Maybe there is a great lesson in this for all of your readers as well and you are being provided (gifted) with the opportunity to help them overcome their personal obstacles collectively and grow as one in spirit?  By utilizing a tolerant individual to moderate your boards who can serve as a "diffuser" when threads get heated, you are not only taking a proactive approach to solving the problem, you are teaching others how to do the same, and they in turn will pass that along and the good will spread.  Every experience in each individual's life, and collectively as a whole group, provides the lessons we all need in order to achieve universal peace and understanding. This proposed "diffuser" would simultaneously be a "teacher" through their own action and can teach your followers how to debate differences intellectually without negative emotional reactions - something all earthings must learn, the world will never know peace otherwise.

We we leave this great Earth, the only thing we take with us is the knowledge gained by the experience we have had in our relationships with all living things. 

Extraordinary lessons are taught and simultaneously learned through intellectual debate between differing viewpoints.  Those lessons encompass expansion of one's thoughts, enlightenment, conscious awareness, and so much more.  We all learn what we live.  If we "avoid" conflict and obstacles then we never learn how to overcome them because we live by avoiding them.
