My Comments on the Palin-troopergate Scandal

This Palin-Trooper issue is really a big deal even though those who
support Palin say it is not. It most certainly should be investigated
and the investigation should continue regardless of the outcome of the
election. And if Palin had the intention of doing what is right for
the people, she would encourage such investigation, ESPECIALLY if she
is innocent of the accusations. One can certainly understand wanting
to protect ones own family from physical harm or emotional harm but if
what is claimed to have happened is actually true, then it was a
vendetta and an attempt to bully one into submission which is flat out
wrong.

There are MANY individuals right here in this forum who take that very
stance themselves while trying to promote their views yet most will
NEVER admit that they do EXACTLY what they tear another apart for.
It's not essentially the individual "action" that is the whole of the
wrong, it's the intent to harm through the manner of bullying in an effort to suppress that individual and bring them down. THAT is what is wrong. NO matter what the reason, the intent is WRONG.

It is ESPECIALLY wrong when it comes from a person who is in a position
of authority. With every position of authority comes responsibility
and accountability to the masses. Authoritative positions, be any kind
of "influential" person, whether a celebrity, a teacher, a parent, a
police officer, or an elected official, have a responsibility to
mankind BECAUSE of their influence. Abusing that position especially
to the point of playground bullying is always wrong.

Whenever one attempts to squash another through any means, especially
means lacking diplomacy and matter of fact, you are being the
playground bully and that is wrong. The goal should never, ever be one
to squash, suppress, and conquer; the goal should always be to teach
and encourage what is right by doing what is right. You don't teach a
child to tell the truth by lying to them. You don't teach others to
live in harmony by being mean and ruthless. You never prove your
position by doing what is wrong. It's impossible. If your position
were correct, you would be living what you believe and doing what is
wrong defies what is right. We all learn what we live and we influence
by what we project outward which stems from what is inside the
individual. If you are projecting hostility outward, then the problem
is what resides inside yourself, not what you see in others. For you
always see a mirrored reflection of yourself. This relates to what
Millenium Twain sent yesterday regarding Schrodinger's Universe and two
electrons spinning in opposite directions always have a small portion
that mirrors the other and that is what projects the energy between the
two and allows them to "see" the other as exactly the same.

Sorry if I am getting too deep. The point is that it's impossible to
teach peace by any other means than peace. We all learn what we live.
We learn by what we experience. Peace is experience. To believe is to
experience, even with faith, it's the experience that leads one to
believe. There are those who cannot comprehend complete peace and that
is because they have never experienced it. Then there are those who
talk about peace and try to promote it through ways that are the polar
opposite of peace. That's like a parent reprimanding their child about
hitting other children while slapping them! Duuuh!

The greater Palin concern here is their refusal to "willingly"
testify. I have a serious problem with that. Even Bill Clinton did
not attempt to avoid testimony. I'm not a Clinton fan, I merely use
that as a point. Palin is attempting to run for a position where she
will have tremendous influence over the thoughts and perspectives of
not only the people of this nation but the world. Just look at the
incredible influence Al Gore has had on the world. THAT'S SCARY when
in the hands of a person who lacks truth and integrity in all that they
do. The right thing to do is for Palin and Todd to willingly testify
before the people. Anything less, is a clear indication that their
intentins are not about doing what is right for the people, and THAT is
why we elect who we elect - a person FOR THE PEOPLE.

Don't think this lets Obama off the hook, either, because it does not.
Obama tremendously lacks integrity. Our elected officials should be
like sages; they should be the ones to set the examples on how the rest
of us should act and what we should know in order to do what is best
for all people of this nation and essentially the world. We need to
get it right in what we look for in the people we elect. We need to
start facing our own truths and be more honest about our own
motivations and intentions. I've seen enough from the people in this
room to know that there are those who, like the parent who reprimands
about hitting by hitting, throw stones for attention while
simultaneously screaming about how wrong another is for throwing
stones.

Our elected officials must be held accountable for all of their
actions, personal and public, and they must be held to a much higher
standard than the average countrymen. The responsibility for creating
the standard falls in our laps, as it should. We're the people and our
form of government is set up for the people to decide what they want
for themselves. We are responsbile. One cannot learn without
experience and all things worth having require effort. So, we the
people, must take up the task of doing what is right first before we
can ever expect it of another.

Laura, most of the movies that are meant to scare me, don't. The ones that really REALLY scared me were the ones that had the people who held power (law enforcement, parents, etc.) as the villains. That IS especially scary. I agree that the investigations must go forward and be made public (soon, so it is BEFORE the election)!

If some jerk trooper tazered your ten year old kid and threatened to kill your family - and had the gun to do it with - would you not take any steps necessary to disarm him? The surprising thing to me is that he is not dead or in prison.
