As most of you know I live in Cleveland, Ohio actually a suburb of
Cleveland. Over the past few years the city of Cleveland a heavy
manufacturing based town, has been hit hard by closings and layoffs.
The population has been moving to the suburbs and out of state, recent
college grads tend to settle in other cities than Cleveland. Some
things Cleveland is noted for are a top ranked hospitals such as the
Cleveland Clinic and University Health systems, diverse ethnic and
cultural influences, top ranked art museum, orchestra and many others.
Despite still having a population in city limits of 500,000 and in the
surrounding region of 2 Million, Cleveland is viewed by Clevelanders
and others as a dying city and it has been hard because of image
problems, tax issues and political issues to attract new business
development in the city and surrounding region.
A new group called The Red Room Revolution
plans to change the image of the region and transfer technology
companies to the area in hopes that their high growth potential will
turn into some success stories. Please take a look at the Red Room
Revolution website and then go to their blog
here on Blogster and add your feedback. The group is looking for ideas
and comments on their efforts so far. Thanks for your help.
