Blogster.com would like to start paying bloggers for well written articles. For starters we would like to have a contest that pays out 3 prizes to the top blogsters in a 30 day period, a 300.00 prize, a 200.00 prize and a 100.00 prize. I will set the topics upon which blogsters may write, some will be whimsical, some will be serious and some may just be reporting on news stories. Points will be given for different criteria such as length of post, # of link outs to relevant info, # of quality photos, quality as viewed by your peers and quality as viewed by Blogster management and also traffic brought in from the search engines as a result of your article.( If we can track this). This is just a test and I will have further details in the coming days. We have a couple objectives with this type of contest. We want to get more people posting and writing on Blogster and we want to see if we can boost the overall traffic to Blogster from the search engines by getting certain types of articles written. If we are able to boost the traffic to Blogster, then we will be able to go down the road of eventually paying blogsters on a regular basis for the writing that they do on Blogster, both the self-directed as well as articles commissioned by Blogster management.
