Nothing remains the same but change! Unfortionately, I don't handel change very well; I like routine, routine, routine! Guess I equate stability with routine. No routine whatsoever with my current job, wich I really dislike. Then youngest drt moves out just as I complete the renovations to Val's bedroom. Well, it's a good thing....the kids are supposed to learn to be self sufficient. Thing is, I kinda like knowing that somebody needs me for something. Oh well, can't fight the winds of change. At least, my animals still need me! Been in a funky, disjointed mood for awhile now. Now realize why geriatric care/ nursing homes have the reputation that they do; to be blunt, just plain and simple crappy nursing care. Bitch too much, and loose your job. I used to be passionate about my job skills, but not anymore. Now the "corporate office" in some other state sets the rules, one size fits all. And for allmy hard work, what do I get? As long as I keep my mouth shut i just MIGHT get a 1% annual pay raise. 1%? And yes, they even threw in, "be grateful that you even have a job". Meanwhile the "corporate office" has skewed billing so that the "corporation" makes a profit, yet I don't have the supplies needed to do my job and am told "I just need to try harder, and am supposed to buy my own supplies"? Am just SOOO DISGUSTED, burnt out, and ready to throw the towel in. Being the liberal that I am, am dissapointed with the health care reform, it didn't go far enough. But something NEEDS to CHANGE. Am at the point that I want to quit health care completely. Not sure how much more corporate GREED and incompetent nursing care (sorry, my co-workers but most of you don't deserve to have a job, tho some are damn good and am desperately clinging to those few to keep me in this fucking field). Where the winds of change may blow me to, I do not know.
