i took a different return path from janet land. Avoided Quebec altogether. Crossed back over to the US at Alexandria Bay, NY. Made it home in 9 hrs; it’s supposed to take 10+ going that route… that’s what happens when you average 85-90 mph most of the way. Not recommended. No. Nothing happened to me, meaning I didn’t get bagged or anything…
I went with janetk and Michael to the children’s hospital for his appointment yesterday. Doc who did the check up assumed I was the dad. We let him assume that. I liked it.
Instead of my being poked a prodded, I got to see such an appointment from my parents perspective. I had a flashback you could say….watching the doc test michael’s range of motion and tone in his limbs and trunk. Man did Michael get fuckin pissed. I can relate.
It has to be done, but if you are the one being checked it can fuckin suck serious ass, especially when you aren’t even 2 years (chronological age.)
My apartment no longer feels like home.
A house on the side of a highway in Ontario Canada does.
I have a third eye in the middle of my forehead, I think.
I am caffeinated to the eyeballs right now and the trend will continue:
X large coffee with a shot of espresso, B vite, monster energy drink & still I yawn.
She has a door now.
Can’t find my cell phone. Haven’t checked my back pack yet. Could be there. No big deal if it’s not as it’s a pay as you go deal and the phone was only 20 bucks
(oh and sucking cherry cough drops as though they were a cure for fatigue.)
the fatigue is so worth it…..
other fleeting thoughts…..
veterans, Obama, broken fax machines, laundry, late night whispers, vapor lamps along 600 miles of highway, wheels of hay dotting empty fields, cows, fallow corn fields, horses eating from troughs below a Canadian flag, zippers invented in Canada, 6 compliments on my Bruins jacket, lonely mom & pop gas stations on the sides of highways in the hinter lands of the Empire State….
Just now when I mant to type ‘gas stations’, I typed ‘gestations’….
Wonder what’s on my mind….
