I laughed at the working out. When I saw the headline I thought: "Martin? working out? He's never mentioned that before... " and then I saw the pictures and it was hard to tell who was in them. I was a little bit relieved to see that you were simply watching, because come to think of it, you've had a lot of medical issues lately.
Do I see a squirrel in one of those pictures?
Thanks, Martin. I'll keep an eye out of for it on our schedule here. We have two PBS stations in the Denver area.
Carrot cake. I'm going to look for it somewhere, haven't had any in a long, long time.
I always enjoy your restaurant reviews. We are working our way up going out for a restaurant meal. Someone gave me a $100 gift card to one of the Estes Park restaurants - will probably cover most of the bill for two, but maybe not.
Sometimes I feel like for the old people that Covid didn't kill, there's going to be a risk of inadequate care for the more mundane conditions (compared to a pandemic) that come with aging.
I forgot to 'fix' it so all the paragraphs wouldn't run together. It's better now.
Once or twice a year we have an invasion of robins that camp out in our cotoneaster (co-tone-ee-ass-ter) bush and eat the berries. This year, maybe due to last year's poor air quality due to wildfires all over the west, we aren't seeing as many robins, and our hummingbird population has been affected, too.
I would feel the same way about the driving. Those landscaped parking lots are great when we know where we are going, but the first time or two it can be very distracting.
Thank you for the update.
Probably due to old age, random memories pop into my head all the time. It's as interesting as dreams in the sense of marveling at what topics come up, like trying to remember what colors our living room was painted in the 1950s. My memory is that one wall was dark blue (or green) and the other walls might have been dark red, so I tried to find old pictures to confirm, and couldn't find any. The picture of my sister & her date Eddie Sullivan (no relation) was after my mother painted the living room Antique White. Overall, I find myself wishing we'd taken more pictures of everything.
It looks like they are different brands, so for a start make sure the ingredients aren't the same. But I don't blame you for being wary of tasting those veggie patties. I can see where you'd hesitate to waste other ingredients on trying to jazz them up.
Low lighting .
It sounds really good! Wish I was there.
Yes, it was last fall. The lawsuit against the city was just recently filed/made public, right on the heels of the verdict in the George Floyd murder trial, so although I don't think there was a timing strategy to do with getting maximum nationwide attention, it certainly fit in.
One of the interesting things is the police/city upper management say the lawsuit filed all these months later was the first notice they had that she was injured during the arrest. There was some report the arresting officers were supposed to fill out about an arrest that involved extra force (they mention it in the video), but I haven't heard if they filed that report.
The involved police officers were 'allowed to resign' and the city has formed a 'restore citizen trust' taskforce. Upper management in the police department claims they didn't know she was injured until the lawsuit was filed, several months after the incident.
According to that infamous recording of the young cops gloating about 'the pop' when the frail older lady's shoulder was dislocated or maybe when her arm was broken, there was a mechanism for them to report the incident. I'm watching to see if they did report it that way.
The Jetsons/Mothership snackbar design sounds interesting.
