We, the Taxpayers

In order to get men to go to war and kill people that they have never met it is essential to first dehumanize the enemy. It was easy to kill Krauts and Japs who were uncivilized brutes in the last century. And in Korea and Nam we knocked off Slopes and Slants in droves once we were assured that they were nothing more than common Asian cockroaches. But that is not to say that this is by any means an American trait. Every nation, every race and every religion since the dawn of civilization has dehumanized its perceived enemies before going to battle. It all seemed so acceptable once the perspectives had been fixed.

I read a blog today that asked, ‘Where are the Americans?’ Americans used to be so independent and self-supporting. What happened to those Americans? Americans used to take the wildest of gambles; crossing the continent in covered wagons, challenging death at every turn. We were inventive, industrious and bold. Where are these people now?

They’re still here. But they’ve become dehumanized. They have been dehumanized by the media/education/Democrat/Socialist complex of the Left. They are no longer “the American People”. They have been reduced to “the taxpayers”.

Honest to God I have been paying strict attention these last couple of weeks and wherever the term “the American People” ought to have been used it was invariably supplanted by the term “the American taxpayer”. We are no longer People; we are taxpayers. I guess it’s OK to shoot us now.

In fact this is another division created by the Left. It is the poor “underserved” (I couldn’t believe it when I heard that one for the first time last week) social parasites – vss - We, the Taxpayers now. It is our patriotic duty, ‘We, The Taxpayers’ to give all we’ve worked for to those who will not work. We’re all to be looked down upon by the elitists who expect us to quietly play out our roles as Boxer the work horse from “Animal Farm” – not bright enough to understand that he’s working himself to death for pigs.

I read another blog today by someone who asked exactly the opposite question of the blogger above. He wanted to know how the word ‘elite’ had come to take on such a negative vibe. He pointed out that the founding fathers were almost all members of the elite colonial class. It is true that they were of the elite class – but they were not elitists. I could not say who among us qualifies as elite today but I can easily pick out those who are elitist. They are the enemies of the taxpayers.

I guess your right, why call Obama an elitest when he owns one house and one car? After all, the McCain campaign is the only one to raise that term. But hell, him and Cindy aren't, after all there's other people that own more then 9 houses and 13 cars? What's your point?

Very well said Thomas!! The liberal left seem to have destroyed, divided, and dehumanized many.
