To answer your question directly - yes, the programs you list are socialist by definition.
Great civilizations did not fail because they did not meet new challenges. Almost all failed because they ceased tending to daily challenges and threats. Socialism is an incipient threat to the healthy, wealthy society that (semi) free capitalism has created in America.
Leftist socialists believe the State and its people should take care of - even enrich - people who chose not to advance their own lives or who have opted for pleasurable addictions over self-development. Taking your socialist foolishness a step further has led us to building homes for dopers and drunks. There will be further steps too so long as Leftist
dementia is not reigned in.

I wish you would make the effort to grasp one or two of the human principles that make national socialism an impossible dream. Begin with the obvious reality that the easier we make it for people to minimize their efforts the more people will become lax. Who needs to work when everything is free? Who needs to work when the fruits of their labor are handed over to beggers and theives?
Dream on. Out.

This may just be your magnum opus. Superb.
Comment on Demonomics - Aug 2, 2008 8:03 AM ()
If this does not reveal how evil the Dems under Pelosi are I don't know what it will take.

The whole conniving bunch should be gunned down for what they've done to Libby, what they're trying to do to Bush and now this bullst! They just invent crimes and get their frothing liberal dogs in media, politics and education to attack.

A man offers his services free to the needy and this is a crime? And you don't think it's 1984 yet?

How does he do it? Coca Cola could not get ad space on that wall!!!!

No offense, honestly, but sometimes you guys make me dizzy.
OK, it is a fact that the oil companies might sell their products in places other than the U.S. but it is NOT A FACT that they will sell us short. That's just an imaginary hope you hold out so that you can be justified in your hatred of "Big Oil".

Please explain for me if you can how a shortage of oil is not fixed by an increase in supply? As I see it if I'm starving to death and I find food doesn't that solve my starvation problem? Now if I know you your going to give me some jive about "but that's not a solution, its a band-aid..." OK then, let's say I'm bleeding to death and that band-aid can stop the bleeding.
You Libs and Obama supporters want to yammer on about eco-friendly solutions that are 20 or more years away while you simply (and I have no idea how you do this) ignore the fact that we're all bleeding to death. You really don't see the insanity in this????

It's a sign from God no doubt.

Double-think. On the one hand McCain shouldn't get 100% disability. On the other hand most wounded vets aren't getting enough. Who made you the decider? Would you trade McCain's injuries for 50 grand a year? Don't think so.
When you get right down to it you've got to admire John's honesty. As an injured vet he could be voting himself a raise right now - but he's not.

For those who may have missed it, I was being ironic. We don't need to stop global warming - that's just what the media/education/political complex is forcing us to focus on.

Marriage is a contract recognized by God and State. The State might recognize gay marriage and grant its grace$. I don't know if God sees it the same way.
Comment on Marriage -- Divorce - July 24, 2008 6:29 AM ()
You and the groups I mentioned are fixated on a single perspective and you work tirelessly to spread that perspective. Media, politics and education have an overpowering voice in Western society. When polls set out to measure the opinions of the people what they actually measure is how the factors of media, politics and education have effected the perspectives of the masses.

When the cavalry arrives we may describe them as attackers or as rescuers. The media/education/Democrat complex describes them as the villains everytime: boots on the ground, helicopter gunships, child killers and oil thieves and the list goes on...
If the same energy was expended to put the U.S. in a positive light as is expended by the hateful Left we'd be recognized for our compassion and willingness to spend our blood and money to relieve the suffering of all the People's of the world.

"The world sees..." and that entire inflametory sentence is the reason the world sees an ugly distortion of American reality. Drooling proagandists like yourself, Leftist media, educators, and politicians all work diligently at spreading these distortions. Or maybe I'm wrong and you are just a dupe who's been sucked into the mirage like Ekyp who, I believe, is authentic in playing his role of useful idiot.

Uh-oh. I did not mean to put my comment under Bumpo's comment. Sorry B.

There is genuine insanity out here. Where I live the visable taxes - the ones we can actually see sucking away our money - takes more than 40% of our earnings. Add to that the hidden taxes placed on every item we purchase and the cost of the end product is more than tripled. Yet we have people on the Left complaining that the government is not doing enough for them so..."May we pay more taxes, please?"
I say they're insane but they could simply be idiots with a death wish.

The author is correct about the total skewing of reality but he has not fully realized who is doing the skewing. He fingers the media but doesn't seem to realize that the media movers arrive on the scene with their realities already distorted by the educational process. Politicians then follow up and take advantage of the mental vulnerability of these indoctrinated rag dolls.
The whole thing has become a self-sustaining cycle that begins at the age at which a child can understand a politicized cartoon message. Even Al Gore understands the basics of mind manipulation and the value of start'n 'em young.
Comment on Economic Reality Kills Our Fantasy Politics - July 20, 2008 8:57 AM ()
Many of the people in prison are just out and out evil. They need to be cut off from society (which is a main purpose of prison) or they will continue to cause as much pain and social chaos as they can get away with.
Only people who do not understand the real nature of evil would insist that criminals be allowed to openly communicate with society. I'm glad to see that you are one of those who does understand it.

Thank you for this shocking reminder of what happens to the minds of Leftists who spend way too much time on the net.
Now do one for us Righties.
